Our Scope
The scope of the EmpowerHer foundation covers female agripreneurs who are already into crop and/or animal farming but lack adequate skills and resources to scale up their agricultural practice.
The foundation seeks to identify women who have demonstrated strength and courage to become self-dependent by having either a backyard farm, or an already cultivated piece of land from which they seek to grow and scale up.
The foundation plans to roll out its programmes in phases beginning with the pilot phase which will focus on five key areas including; rice farming, maize farming, fishery, poultry and backyard farming.
The major interventions that the foundation seeks to offer to its beneficiaries include (but not limited to):
- Provision of water sources (borehole) for irrigation practice.
- Provision of improved seedlings, farming chemicals, fertilizers, feeds for animals and other farming inputs.
- Training the stakeholders at different levels to enhance proficiency in the utilization of the inputs that will be given to them.
